An Ode to Moms

Hi everyone. To all of you who are mother's of human, dog, cat or other forms of children, I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day. ❤

I'm heading out to spend the day with my daughter today. We have a walk and lunch planned, and who knows what else.

Here's a bouquet of flowers for you. This is a mix of silk store bought boughs and also some paper blooms that I made. The bouquet is on my fireplace  mantel.

Here's my all grown up baby last weekend when she was away on a hiking trip. (I still wonder why she wouldn't hike with us when she was younger and now she hikes/walks all the time.) I'm excited that I get to to see her today.

Here's my other 2 babies when they were much younger. Now they're 11 and 12 ( Maddie may be even 13) years old with grey hair and some lumps too.

And this is a photo from 2015 of my mom, myself and my daughter.  Happy mother's Day Mom. I miss you.

I am also linking up to Gillena's  Sunday Smiles

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and start to the new week. And Happy Mother's Day to you Mom's too.

I had lovely Mother's Day lunch today with the grandchildren. Even though winter starts here in 2 weeks, we could have shared our table with you, enjoying the sunshine and cool drinks.

Looks like you have a spectacular weather day to enjoy Mother's Day with your daughter. She might not have liked hiking when she was younger, but now that's an activity you can share. Happy Mother's Day and have a great day

What a loving tribute to Mother's Day. Somehow I feel I should have created one, too. Of course, but my mother, who died when I was 17, and my grandmother who raised me from birth are gone and I have no photos to share like you have. Happy Mother's Day, Erika.

Happy Mother’s Day. When my daughter was young it was like pulling teeth to get her to go birding with me. Now she can hardly wait. Kids grow up; kids change. All the best - David

What pretty handmade blooms in your gorgeous bouquet! That's one thing I haven't yet done but I do have some never-used yet dies for it. And that is a lovely photo of your furbabies and a beautiful photo of 3 generations! Your daughter is your mini-me for sure! Hope you had a wonderful Mom's day and a great week coming up , xoxo
